Binary Friend Pat Lok takes Usher’s tune “Yeah” (yes the one with Lil Jon) and delivers a guilty pleasure tune. Confession, its not that guilty, full disclosure, I fucks with Usher. Check it out and grab the free download while you can. Pat hooks the beats lovely as he always does. Do It.
Pink Feathers (aka Liz Anjos) just released her Invisible Lines EP and it is dreamy. On this one she trades off vocals with Speak. Liz has really developed as an artist and this Ep sets her on course to breakthrough the comfortable but looming shadow of her husbands project (a little thing called RAC) and into her very own. There are hints of Stefani that are complimented by the gravely vocals of Speak and an emotional vibe that manages to feel both authentic and catchy. Tune. Happy Wednesday. Binary approves.
Australian darlings I Know Leopard create glistening and infectious pop tinged tunes fit for surfing, dancing, kissing, walking, cooking, hugging, jogging, driving to work, petting your dog, quiet contemplation that becomes blissful revelation and love, in other words – life. Get up on their sound and vibe. Happy Weekend. Binary Approves.
I was like…ok…then I was like…alright and then I was like daaamn. This one surprises and wins you over, after the first listen it’s done. Pop appeal, song writing, arrangements and an emotional core, Tourist has crafted a tune that gels and works. Discover them here.
Jonas Rathsman makes intricate tunes that are complicated enough to be beautiful without being so complex that they feel busy. His latest, a Remix of the Sam Smith tune “Like I Can” showcases this skill with grace. Somewhere between theatric and ravey this one stirs the emotions while keeping us moving. Sam Smith channels Tracey Chapman and warbles along repeating the same phrase but the beat is the winner here.Thoughtful and fresh. Classic Rathsman
Downtown LA’s indie-pop duo, Pr0files, have put together something real nice with ‘Forgive’ – their follow up to last year’s ‘Call Yourself A Lover.’ They let the vocals shine on this sentimental song of anti-love and forgiveness, captivating your senses from the start. Beautifully constructed tune, throughout it’s synth driven 3 and a half minutes. Really love this. Put it on repeat and get all tickled with nostalgic vibes.
LBCK. Long time Binary friends LBCK are back, doing what they do. They do it well so, why not continue doing it? Like they are… Annd they made it where you can download it for free and listen to it anywhere you want (yes they have that power) so, that is a cool part of it also. words about song, say how cool one part is and say what part of the song that is at, mention that its new, did I say free download? ok I think we are done here. LBCK. Get V familiar.
It is a time of transition.Starting to cool down but not quite to a point where I can wear my cool jackets. They are glowering from the closet. A limbo between the true chill of fall and the afterglow of summers memories and warmth. FEVRIER (AKA Ilo de Pancrate and Louie Louie) have taken Bon Iver’s WI themed tune and brought a bit of sunlight. Give it a spin. Discover more of their tunes on Soundcloud. Happy Monday.
