Pat Lok – All In My Head ft. Desiree Dawson (SYRE Remix)

Vancouver producer Pat Lok reveals yet another outstanding remix of his latest original single “All In My Head,” this time by fellow Vancouverite and budding artist SYRE. This interpretation of the track is by far our most favorite, with a sophisticated house sound paired with syncopated beats, SYRE’s take has the rub we’re always looking for. Two of our favorite acts Pat Lok and Gold Fields come together on a fantastic remix that marries music from both hemispheres. Today Pat revealed the Australian band’s rework of his latest original single “All In My Head,” a wonderful blissed out interpretation filled with swirling synths that kicks up the dance element of the track a notch.

Pat Lok’s “All In My Head” single + remixes from Gold Fields, Howson’s Groove, and SYRE is out February 16th via Love & Other.

Sirma – Trigger (Pat Lok Remix)

As August gradually transitions into September, you may notice that with a change of season comes a change of mood. People seem less adventurous, more skeptical and likely to withdraw sooner. However, Canadian Producer Pat Lok’s remix of Sirma’s “Trigger” is the perfect reminder that despite the days becoming shorter, darker and colder, there is still “so much to feel, so much to live for.” The middle-eastern vocal sample intertwined with harmonious synthesizers feel soothing, as we begin to tranquilize our overexerted summer hearts. The textured, elongated vocal samples are therapeutic, telling us that maybe it is time to channel our energy more constructively and take our passion by the reigns. This tune reminds us that for the past few months, it has been too easy to be in ten places at once. The real challenge now is devoting yourself, just one moment at a time.

Robert Lux x Todd Edwards – I’ve Still Got Sunshine (Pat Lok Remix)

Rave Life. A departure from our usual selections, it’s good to change it up sometimes, right? This is a classic feeling tune with a groove that is impossible to stand still to. Whether this evokes memories of glow sticks and big pants or just blends into the house you are only just now discovering, it certainly captures a vibe. Part guilty pleasure/nostalgia, part unabashed rave anthem, part get loose and have a great time, are those all the same thing? Throw this on while you are getting ready for a night of tomorrows cherished memories. The song unfolds more like a dj caught in an inspired moment than a radio ready bubble gum electro song and … we appreciate that. Pat Lok pays homage to the roots and turns out a fresh tune. Check it out. Binary Approves.
